Lauder Selected to Instruct at Hand-Wrist Seminar
Anthony Lauder, MD, of Longview Orthopedic Associates continues to receive recognition as one of the premier hand-wrist surgeons in the U.S.
Dr. Lauder was recently invited by Stryker Corporation – which is among the nation’s foremost medical technology companies – to serve as faculty at a hand-wrist workshop in Mahwah, New Jersey. He delivered lectures to attending surgeons and led lab sessions as well. He is scheduled to instruct at a similar hand-wrist seminar sponsored by Stryker in June.
"My focus was on the use of nerve conduits (specialized tubes) to aid in nerve repair," Lauder said. "I was also fortunate to spend a day at Stryker headquarters talking with engineers from around the world who are working on the latest hand-wrist technology.
"Stryker brings faculty in to test new designs and to make changes to implants and surgical techniques as needed. It’s very beneficial to surgeons like myself because this makes us aware of innovative treatment options available for our patients."
Dr. Lauder completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Creighton University/University of Nebraska Health Foundation and then completed a hand surgery fellowship at the University of Washington. He has co-authored nearly a dozen books dealing with the hand and wrist. His writing has also been published in the Journal of Hand Surgery, Skeletal Radiology, Spine, Foot & Ankle International, and the Journal of Arthroplasty.
