Dr. Jason Kinney earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, as well as minor degrees in Biology, Geography, and Spanish at the University of Georgia. He then went on to pursue his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University/University of Georgia (AU/UGA) Medical Partnership, where he graduated with honors and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society (AOA). During his medical education, he displayed academic excellence with impressive USMLE Step scores.

Dr. Jason Kinney has a specialization in adult reconstruction. He completed his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Johns Hopkins, which further honed his expertise in the field. Prior to that, he pursued his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of West Virginia, where he showcased exceptional skills and dedication to his profession.

A passionate researcher, Dr. Kinney actively participated in various research projects throughout his career. He notably worked on studies investigating the outcomes of total knee arthroplasty and the impact of COVID-19 infection on postoperative outcomes in elective primary total hip arthroplasty. His dedication to research is evident from his numerous publications and presentations in reputable medical journals and conferences.

Outside of his medical pursuits, Dr. Kinney is deeply committed to volunteering and community service. He is part of Operation Walk, a surgical team that provides total joint replacements in underserved areas globally. Additionally, he contributes to the medical education of military Special Forces medics and while in medical school he was actively involved in student-run free clinics, providing healthcare to the uninsured and underprivileged populations.

Dr. Kinney's multifaceted interests extend beyond medicine. He is an avid basketball fan, and he enjoys the great outdoors with hiking, kayaking, and whitewater rafting. Dr. Kinney is also a passionate student of history. When not immersed in his professional endeavors, he finds solace in building computers and spending quality time with his wife and two beloved dogs.
